About Me

I will try not to bore you by talking about myself for ages so i will give you a brief overview of me, my illness and my life :)

Well currently I am living in a gorgeous little flat by the sea with 2 of my best friends, while teaching myself the art of photography and how to run a successful business, so in the near future I can be a freelance portrait photographer, which is my absolute dream that I will hopefully achieve very soon. If you are interested in my photography then click on the link from the home page to my website ;). I'm 21 and have just graduated from university with a first (pretty proud of that) even though my degree is in television, which although I did really enjoy, I realised that my true passion is photography and it is a lot more realistic and obtainable due to my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome around 7 years ago and in that time I have completed GCSE's, A Levels and a university degree. 6 years ago I was pretty much bed bound for around a year, since then I have had many ups and downs, but over time I have built up my strength to now being able to walk short distances and slightly longer ones if I take a break to sit on a nice bench. My CFS does still affect almost everything I do in one way or another, but its now at a stage that I can lead a type of 'normal' life. I look after myself, socialise and stuff but everyday tasks take me a little while to complete and I spend a lot of my time in bed or ill on the sofa with yet another bug. But I will talk more about all this stuff in the blog :)

Things I enjoy doing are, going to visit my family in the deep dark depths of the countryside, drinking wine with my friends, seeing my lovely boyfriend and playing with my 4 little darling ratties (yes..... I have pet rats and they really are adorable) that and I'm usually photographing anyone who will let me. I am quite creative so love making things and do many many crafts, probably too many. I have a passion for VW campervans, candles, incense sticks and anything vintage. And its not been a good day if I havnt had at least 6 or so cups of tea, I believe everything in life is made a little better with a good cup of tea!

Basically things are pretty good at this point in my life but it hasn't always been this great. Its been a long and at times very difficult journey to accept my illness and to get the people around me to understand. I will try to explain how I got to this point so maybe it can help other people who have just started their journey with this illness or one similar to it.

I tried to keep this brief but I seemed to have gone on a bit, Oh well..... :)

Amy
